365 Raw: Day 50 with “Convenience”

2013-02-08_11-20-26_604I’ve gravitated more toward “convenience” foods (like Kale chips & date rolls) lately. I don’t really like that I’m doing it, but I know it’s because our schedule has become busier this week. It seems rather weird to call them convenient since a banana would be simpler. The problem though, I’ve had difficulty finding ripe bananas (actually, it’s been difficult to find much that’s truly ripe these last couple of weeks). We go through so many bananas every day that we’re constantly looking for bananas at the grocery store. We almost always get a comment from the check-out person about the number of bananas in our cart. “Got monkeys at home?” is the one we hear the most.

I’m going to try to be more pro-active this next week so that I can keep from relying so much on raw food stuffs from Natural Grocers.
