Alright sojourners, the next 28 days of our journey will begin on February 1st! Are you ready?
If you are just joining us, I am going to recommend that you start from February and move forward with us. The only exception being those who wish to do the 12-Step Journey. If you’re just joining and want to do that version, please begin with January’s Path… of course, you’ll be doing it during the month of February instead. There is a purpose to the order and I wouldn’t want you to miss out on the benefits. So, after you read the mission, come back here.
Alrighty, those who already have a plan to follow, did you re-evaluate last months plan? Do you have what you need to start off on the right foot? Please post your plan for February in the comments of this message. Even if you’ve set a time-frame for your personal journey that’s longer, let’s just focus on February for now.
Those taking on the “12-Step Journey”, today is the day you find out what I’m going to ask you to add in February. Yes, that doesn’t mean you stop doing January’s mission, keep getting in that prayer/meditation time. Our theme for the month will be: “Hydration”. This next step is to help prepare you for the steps to come. We’ve spent a month taking in Living Water, now it’s time to take in good ol’ H2O.
The Mission: Stay Hydrated
No, this does not mean drink more coffee or diet soda. Some liquids hydrate, and some do not. I realize that some diet plans out there say, “just get in liquids”. I’m not from that camp. However, rather than give you a list of all of the beverages that you probably should not ingest, I’m going to give you one simple action. Drink water first thing in the morning. That’s it. Have a glass of water beside your bed. Before your feet even hit the floor, drink it all. Then, go about your day. Simple right?
I recommend starting with 8 oz and gradually working up to 24. While you sleep, your body slowly dehydrates, so it stands to reason that we should replenish it as soon as possible. Why not do it as soon as you get up?
I’ll leave you with an inspirational “watery song” – Walk on the Water by Britt Nicole. Enjoy!
Now a word about posting for support or cheers: You are more than welcome to post in the comments of any “Journey” post or my daily “365 Raw” posts. What should you post? Well, anything you’d like to share with the group. If you’re struggling, please don’t shrink off to the shadows, let us pray for you and offer support. If you’re rocking, please don’t fly off into the sunset alone, share your joys that others may be encouraged.
