365 Raw: Day 23 with “No Rest”

I woke up earlier than I needed to the morning of Day 23. I think I tossed a bit more than I have been last night. It could be that I have a lot on my mind, it could also be that I’m gearing up for another day or so of detox symptoms. I woke with a sore throat and slightly swollen glands.

hansonsWhen I was in basic training (Go Air Force!), our TI would shout “No rest for the wicked”, during our many bouts of physical torture. Usually, we were tortured because someone in the flight messed up. Well, I thought about that TI and his shouts today as I read through some information about the Hansons Marathon Method. I’ve been looking into a few training plans trying to decide on one to do this year. The thing I like most about their plan is that they don’t have you do a 20 mile long run. The thing I like least, is that they keep your legs in a constant state of fatigue. So, they don’t put you through as grueling of a long run schedule, but they never fully let you rest either. Hmm. Of course, I had to know you’d have to give somewhere. No one, well most people, don’t run a marathon without calculated training of some kind.

I may choose the “no rest” method, but I’m going to read the book before I decide for certain.I have several weeks of pre-training left to concentrate on anyway.
