365 Raw: Day 18 with “Rest”

I woke feeling quite refreshed the morning of Day 18.

Some days need to be “rest” days. I figure if God rested on the seventh day, then who am I to think that I don’t need to rest? Well, today was a day that I took off. I laid around on the sofa all day reading… well, we had a bout of adventure when the 8 year old cut her finger wide open. The Husband ran a race today in the freezing cold; the 15 year old wrote up plans for his current programming project (gaming); the 13 year old practiced axels on the floor and pieced together another square of her quilt; the 10 year old played Wii (Just Dance), the 8 year old (after the cut) laid on the sofa listening to Adventures in Odyssey… and I read.

We don’t get a lot of down time around here when our normal routine is in full swing. So, we take it when we can get it.

What I read: Genesis 19-21

What I ate:

  • Breakfast – Ten oranges juiced with electric citrus juicer
  • Lunch – 10 bananas, blended with 8 oz water
  • Dinner – 1/4 large watermelon, 1 lb romaine, 1 cup grape tomatoes, 1 cup golden tomatoes, creamy dressing ( 1/2 avocado, 1 mango, 1 lime juiced, cilantro & parsley blended together)

What I did: Nothing 🙂

Here are the notes I made regarding my symptoms throughout Day 18:

  • slowed digestion (gas, abdominal pain, bloating) – have some bloating, thank you lovely monthly
  • headaches
  • puffy hands, feet, and face
  • sinus congestion
  • dry/itchy eyes, skin, and scalp
  • acne – surprisingly clear for PMS week
  • aching muscles and muscle spasms
  • foggy brain
  • irritability
  • mood swings –
  • blood sugar fluctuations
  • fatigue –
  • unable to sleep well
  • unquenchable thirst
  • cravings – yes, but I think it’s cycle related. everything the cooked vegans ate today smelled amazing! It took a lot to distract myself from the thoughts of fries and potato chips.
  • chest pain
