365 Raw: Day 9 with “Greens”

I woke up the morning of Day 9 feeling “OK”. Another late night and early morning. I actually fell asleep on the couch first. However, I was very much awake all day. WooHoo!!

leafy-green-vegetablesI’m really amazed that I actually enjoy my big salad now. For the past year, I would usually drink my greens. Last night the family watched The Odd Life of Timothy Green while we ate dinner. Such a sweet movie. Of course, none of us have leaves growing on our legs, but most of us could use a bit more “green” in our lives.

It seems that Popeye was on to something. Check out this article, Ten reasons why leafy greens are the power players on any plate. Then, go out and get some!

What I read: Job 21-23

What I ate:

  • Breakfast – Ten oranges juiced with electric citrus juicer
  • AM Snack – Some Star Fruit
  • Lunch – 10 Bananas blended with 8oz of water – YUM!
  • Dinner – 1/2 large watermelon, 1 pound of romaine, 1 cup of golden tomatoes with fruity dressing (2 cuties, 1 cup of grapes, parsley, & cilantro blended together)

Here are the notes I made regarding my symptoms throughout Day 9:

  • slowed digestion (gas, abdominal pain, bloating) – what gas?
  • headaches – none
  • puffy hands, feet, and face (thank you, salt)
  • sinus congestion – very little
  • dry/itchy eyes, skin, and scalp – really dry skin
  • acne – clearing
  • aching muscles and muscle spasmsstill aching some
  • foggy brain
  • irritability – better
  • mood swings – better
  • blood sugar fluctuations
  • fatigue, but unable to sleep well – slept ok, but didn’t get enough. Very little fatigue
  • unquenchable thirst (again, thank you, salt) – better
  • cravings – None.
